We will have a featured reader, Emily Hockaday, to celebrate her second collection, In a Body. Her first full-length, Naming the Ghost, debuted with Cornerstone Press in September 2022. She is the author of six poetry chapbooks, most recently Beach Vocabulary out from Red Bird Chaps & Name this Body from Thrash Press. Her poems have appeared in print and online journals, as well as with the Poets of Queens and Parks & Points’ Wayfinding anthologies. Emily writes about ecology, parenthood, chronic illness, grief, and the urban environment. She is a recipient of the New York City Artist Corps, Cafe Royal Cultural Foundation, Queens Art Fund, and DeGroot Foundation grants, and she was a 2022 poetry resident at the Bethany Arts Community. She works for the two science fiction magazines Asimov’s Science Fiction and Analog Science Fiction and Fact. You can follow her on twitter @E_Hockaday.
