He, along with fellow graphic novel authors Jeremy Holt and Alex Segura, will discuss the growing diversity in graphic novels and comics, both in the stories they tell, and who is telling those stories.

Jeremy Holt is a non-binary author whose most recent works include Made in Korea, Virtually Yours, Before Houdini, After Houdini, and Skip to the End. They have received high praise from Brian K. Vaughan (Y the Last Man, Saga, Runaways) and NYT crossword constructor David Kwong.
An original art page from their book After Houdini was acquired by The Houdini Museum of NYC, where it now hangs in its permanent collection.
Originally from no place in particular, they have called Italy, Singapore, England, Norway, and Texas home at various points in their life. They graduated with a B.F.A. in Sound Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2005 and recently relocated to Brooklyn again (third times a charm!) after spending eight years in Vermont.
Greg Lockard is a writer, editor and educator focused on the creation of comic books and graphic novels.
LIEBESTRASSE is a historical fiction graphic novel that Greg co-created with artist Tim Fish and released in print by Dark Horse Comics in the Summer of 2022. The graphic novel was nominated as an “Outstanding Comic Book” for the 2020 GLAAD Media Awards and listed by the New York Times as one of 10 Comic Books to Celebrate Pride.
As a comic book editor, his client list includes DC Comics/Vertigo, ComiXology Originals, Tiny Onion Studios, Image Comics, and others. During the Spring 2020 and 2022 semesters, Greg led writing workshops in graphic novel scripting at New York University.
Alex Segura is an acclaimed and bestselling author of novels and graphic novels. His comic book work includes THE BLACK GHOST, THE MYSTERIOUS MICRO-FACE, THE AWAKENED, THE DUSK, THE ARCHIES, and stories with Marvel, Image, Dark Horse, ComiXology Originals, Zestworld, Archie, DC Comics, and more.
By day he is the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Oni Press, with previous stints at Archie Comics and DC Comics.
A Miami native, he lives in New York with his wife and children.
